Insurance
Standard insurance is required to be purchased from our insurance company at $15.00 per day (plus a one time processing fee of $3.00). There are also other insurance options that you can choose to purchase. Please read below for all options and inform Chrome Horse if you would like to purchase additional coverage at time of pickup. NOTE: Standard insurance is included in all bike week rates.
STANDARD - $15 per day - Includes State Statutory Limits for liability (bodily injury and/or property damage you cause to others). Also includes any comprehensive damage to the motorcycle. $2,000 deductible applies, meaning you will be responsible for paying up to $2,000 before any damages are covered by insurance. Your liability for any collision damages to the motorcycle, caused by you, is for the entire value of the motorcycle. A $2,000 damage deposit is required either on a credit or debit card (authorization only), or in cash.
THE FOLLOWING COVERAGES ARE OPTIONAL
SUPPLEMENTAL LIABILITY INSURANCE (SLI) - $4.95 per day - SLI is additional liability insurance over the state statutory limit. SLI provides you with up to $300,000 total excess liability insurance for damage to other persons or other property.
COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER (CDW) - $1 per day - The CDW will reduce the renter's liability of any collision damages, caused by you, from the full value of the motorcycle to a max of $2,000. It also reduces the amount of your damage deposit on your credit card to $1,000 (authorization only).
